Yep.

Motorcraft Premium Gold/Zerex G-05 would be my recomendation as a "universal" coolant. I would however, continuously drain/refill the system with drinkable water (running engine up to normal temps in between each drain/fill) until the discharge is clear. This way, you would have removed nearly all of the old coolant. Generally, it takes three to four drain/fills with clean water. Only use the Prestone Super Flush if the system appears dirty, and if you do, it is especially important that you do at least three to four water flushes after its use to remove as much cleaner as possible.

You can buy the Motorcraft Premium Gold Concentrate for $15/gallon at any Ford Parts counter...

I went over 90K on my original coolant and it looked fine. Replaced with Honda blue.

Mine was original up until the tranny conversion at 200k

I would change my coolant every 5 yr or 100K, whichever comes first, but that's just me.

Appearance is deceiving when it comes to coolants. You can drain 10 yr old coolant out of a radiator and it could still look OK. The correct test would be to check it's PH.

I tested mine couple times a year and it was still perfectly fine. It was good for -35 below.

Testing for temp does nothing more than checking the correct concentration level...your coolant could be a 50/50 mix that's 20 yrs old and it'd still test OK.

ment to say tested it for pha and temp. its always been fine

I would never run water wetter and distilled water in a cooling system. Never. Water Wetter simply does not have sufficient anti-corrosion additives and protection against cavitation. In addition, I'm not sure what effect water wetter has on the boilling point of water, but the solution in your system could easily boil in the event of the slightest radiator cap failure and/or system leak.

My
I know a couple people that are running it on their CL's and not having any problems... But I'm going to drain it and put regular coolant in there when fall comes around.

Sounds like you should just buy oem coolant and play it safe.
