There's still a long wait if you order that though.

Even so, the Comptech bar does more for handling.

I have a question...
Will only having the bracket on one side of the bar throw out anything?
I've seen some kits that have a spacer for the other side...
Im just curious...

Is it really just unbolt and rebolt everything?

I got mine within days of ordering. wasn't aware they are on back-order.

also, care to explain how the comptech does more for handling? is the difference measurable?

For anyone wanting to know:

The strut brace gets torqued to 16 lb/ft. and the engine mount bolts go to 33 lb/ft.

Yea, I asked Heeltoe about it a while back. He said it was like a couple months to get it shipped. I doubt he has them in stock now.

And the Cusco bar is mounted at 2 points, and it's allowed to pivot at the pins. The Comptech has a 4 point mount and is one rigid bar. But now that I think about it, the Cusco is paired with the OEM bar...hrmm. I still think the Comptech does more.

Did you feel a difference with the Cusco?

you make a good point that I forgot about. i noticed a stark difference with the cusco bar. i have the lower brace also - both are very worthwhile. you're correct also, the stock bar stays in place with the cusco bar mounted.

Probably, I just got the specs out of the service manual, that thing will give you torque specs on tying your shoes....

Basically just make sure its on there good...
Ill try to get some sort of torque wrench... Even if its a beam-shaft wrench, i guess its better than nothing.

Im still curious if only having the mount on one side affects anything.

At that distance (across the engine bay) I don't think it will. Both ends are still going to be firmly mounted to the shock tower so all should be good.

on the left side of that picture, those two large nuts, were it says tighter, and don't forget to also adjust the length at the same time too, otherwise it will preload it in one direction

, especially if you are willing to play around with it a little also

also i forgot to add that to adjust length, you just screw that rod end on the left in and out then lock it off with the lock nut on there

what is a torque wrench , but yeah only time i really use one is on cylinder heads and such (and for wheels, i use a torque stick with an impact)
