Excelerate Performance: INGALLS Engine Torque Damper Groupbuy!!!
Excelerate Performance is happy to announce the release of the Ingalls Engine Torque Damper for the 01-03 Acura CL, 99-03 Acura TL, and 98-02 Honda Accord V6. We have decided to create a Groupbuy for this new part. Here is some info on the part:
A self-contained elastomeric shock that mounts on brackets between the engine and the chassis. It reduces extreme engine movement and dampens the motion, providing many benefits:
- Greatly improved off-the-line acceleration
- Reduced wheel hop
- Improved vehicle stability
- Reduced shock loads on driveline components
- Smoother shifting
- Reduced wear on exhaust system joints
- Less vibration transmission to the driver compared to polyurethane motor mounts.
- Less shock load, compared to torque straps and chains.
- Drifting – helps reduce shock loads when wheels gain traction.
- Reduces motor movement – decreases the chance of motor parts rubbing against the hood and frame.
Pricing is as follows for the Groupbuy (we need 20 orders to make this happen):
20+ People - $135 plus shipping
If you want to participate in the Groupbuy purchase the ETD from this link:

Just placed mine.
Anyone notice a common link . . . so far most of the people ordering have been in on the motor mount issue for some time.
This, in my opinion is a no brainer for anyone:
- who's done power mods
- tired of busted motor mounts (won't totally eliminate them, but will help them last longer)
- want to reduce or eliminate wheel hop
- reduce stress on the exhaust flex pipe (I've cracked mine due to too constant flexing)
- add a new cool looking part

only thing though is that you do notice how shitty the tranny does shift though, but then again mine does not have long to live, couple weeks at most)

it does? Have you seen where the factory mounts are located? they are at the bottom of the motor. The stock CL dampers are in the same location as the motor mounts. This should help greatly!

and it does wounders with controling the engine movement, especially when you already got a busted rear mount (that will be replaced shortly, i did not want to spend the money on a new mount, then have it be worthless to me in the coming weeks )

Are you saying that you feel the trans shift harder?

yes, but then again as said my trans is on it's last leg, i have already it for roughly 25,000 miles, since it had it's first sign of trouble (puking itself dry), so i can't really complain about it (and then i also know the rear mount is shot too, but i am going manual though, so i did not want to replace it yet, till i go manual, then i will just put the manual mount in instead) (but then again i don't think this mount helped my tranny in any way though, with the power output being more responsive now, and how it has kinda changed my driving style [harder on it now]
but basically the shifts will probably noticeable though (not as much as mine though), because the engine will not be rocking back and fourth as much as before

I cant notice a single bit of difference with them on or off. If what i have been working on doesnt work out i will buy one of these kits!

Does this ease strain on the mounts?

typically on a `group buy`- the 20 people needed --- committed buyers
(pay now get part when its ready) to justify the cost to make and make extras for those who want it after the first order,, has to be filled before anything happens
If you want one, follow the link Josh posted to his site and put up your money

In your (and everyone else) opinion, do you think its worth getting this (especially when the car develops more hp) and possibly save spending some cash on the mounts?

I would say its well worth it. Especially for any one who drives faster than a grandma. Make sure all your mounts are good and you will benefit the most from this.
