Everyone over the new fascia???
I remember when the 02Tl's first came out everyone (myself included) disliked the new front grill and the larger headlights.... I find myself slowly warming up to them. What about you guys???

I walked up to one up close and looked at it carefully and I think it needs the body kit to look right.. otherwise, it looks a little too big and imbalanced without the bottom front lip
which is why the TL-S with the kit looks awesome

I wasn't so crazy abou it in the beginning, but the more i see it the more i like it. I think the pre 02 looks too close not only to the Accord, but also to some Toyotas and Mazdas. The 02s have a more unique look. Nevertheless, they're both very classy looking. I think the TL in general, especially a stock, and at first glance, is not a head turner, but the more you look at it, the nicer and classier it gets, to the point that you start noticing it and wanting it. (That's what happened to me) It's a beautiful car.

I did not like it at first but I also am getting use to it the more I see them. I look to see if its a 02 or older model when its comming at me from a distance. I think its okay& would get one if I did not have my 2000.

I like it so much I bought it!!
At first I was a little iffy, but I never didn't like it. I think it's a lot more aggressive looking and helps distinguish it from an Accord at a quick glance (my CL had the same problem)......

That pic you attached of that sweet 02, is the front grill spray painted silver? How did you paint it like that? Looks great

but I agree, i like the grill painted.. gives it a nice uniform look to it.. notice the inside part of the surrounding piece is also painted silver.. maybe even the wings too, but I can't tell that from the pic.. hopefully the owner will speak up!!

QUESTION -- I have a '99 TL and I was wondering if its possible to get a 2002 front bumper and put on the 99. I like the fact that it has fog lights.

First off you would have to swap out the hood. As you know on '99-'01 TLs, the grill and hood are all one piece. On the '02s, the hood opens independantly of the grill. I believe the front fenders are different too.
So when you itemize it:
New front fascia
New hood
New fenders
New headlights
Basically big $$$$$$$$$$$$$

[FONT=century gothic] Since this is my first post, I would like to start off by saying that I personally dig the new styling. It gives it a stylish look that makes it harder to tell it's an Accord (not that the accord is BAD, just BLAND). The interior has always been superb, but now the exterior matches the interior.
I currently own a 1996 Pathfinder, and will be looking to move up to the TL this winter after I move into my house (GARAGE!!!!).
The Type-S is even more elegant, and powerful, but I don't think I can swing the extra $2k...$28k is pushing it as it is for me (new house). Is the extra 35 HP, rims, and suspension worth it? I'm not looking to race anyone, and I think the TL is fast enough around here for me.
Don't want to get the CL, since I'm planning to drive this car for a LOOONG time after I buy it, and a family may be on the way in the next few years. Don't want to have 2 2-door cars with a family (2000 Civic EX coupe).
Ok, i'm off topic now, but just wanted to say "kudos" to Acura for improving something that was already great!
