I was test driving a 2002 TL-S last night with my best friend. We spend most of the time in my car and we swap drivers a lot, so I really wanted his opinion on my new car. So we took this TL-S (it was green) out for an hour. It had 36k miles, but after driving for a few minutes there was something about it that I just didn't like. I think it had been wrecked. Nevertheless, the power was awesome, the engine sound was amazing, and it was tons of fun to drive.

He got behind the wheel and we started back towards the dealership when a cop on the side of the road turns on the spotlight and follows the TL-S (we were in a group of cars). A few minutes later, the cop appears behind the car.

We got away with a warning (63 in a 45), but I was wondering if anyone else has ever had a ticket or been pulled over while test driving a car?

that sucks if u get a ticket, the dealer has no responsibilty for the ticket.

i was told when i had a test drive.

if you get involved in an accident then it's gonna be worse, if the saleman is not in the car he would get fire for that.

 

I tore the front off of a 1988 Toyota Supra while test driving it. Does that count? :-)
