I was traveling on a local 4 lane street the other day heading home from work. As I was getting ready to turn left onto a side street, I sort of went onto the center median alittle early before the left turn lane opens up. This county sheriff then pulled me over and gave me a ticket for improper lane usage! It was on my birthday too. What a bastard. I plead not guilty and waiting for a court date. Do you guys think I have a chance of getting out of this ticket without a lawyer? I just think it's rediculus. Why do I need to wait in the long line of traffic when the center median is nice and flat with no cars queuing in the left turn lane?? I wasn't driving fast either.

Yeah I think you can. If they are going to give you points appeal it and tell them you want a lawyer. They will post pone the court date til you get a lawyer...

 

coin toss, all depends on the judge, laywer or not. But yeah, thats fukin stupid, dosent he have drug dealers to take care of?

i never do that just cause i FUBARed a tire once doing that... so i just bust some other more illegeal move to compensate.

 

whatever, I think that potentially damaging your car should be enough of a punishment...

the guy was probably on some crazy power trip...

damn, you should have seen me today. they are doing some road contruction so many roads are being detoured to this road i go on each day. basically i wait in line until every entrance to a housing development is gone. then i gas it into the turn lane and drive about a 1/4th mile at 70mph and bam, im at the stop light. then you should see all the people who follow me.

i think u can pull this one off, or at least get it reduced heavily...probably just a lil fine if u get a lawyer-

 

This is not one of those rough center medians. It's basically just a center lane with yellow lines before the left turn lane opens up. I think he was having one of those ego trips because when he pulled me over, he gave me a really bad attitude.
