Post Entering the battlefield on Monday

Well, I'm finally ready to enter the dealership on Monday. I've set a mark at $31000 for a black/black TL-S with Navi, will have pre-approval for a loan, and will be there on the last day of the month. Let the battle begin!
Question for any of you that already bought one is: how much in extra charges did you have to pay? I know its a little different by state, but what did you pay for title/tags/doc fee/etc??? I want to avoid any surprises by the dealer by knowing what I'm in for.
Thanks!! Hopefully monday I'll be able to begin posting as a MEMBER/OWNER.

As I sat down in the finance ladies office, I noticed that they had a camera in the corner.

She was videotaping everything.

Well I got nervous.

I was surfing the net one day and saw a web page called "www.carclosings.com". Curiously, I went in and it was a compilation of different closings from dealers all over the country.

The page is closed now but it would have been very informative stuff for someone like you.

You could hear and see exactly what everyone was paying for their cars.

Cool huh?

Isn't $31000 invoice for TLS with Nav?

invoice is actually 30,430. I know 31,000 is a little reach, but I've seen posts of people online that got deals close to that. With the dealer holdback of 2%, thats about $600 profit right off the bat. Figure economy is in shambles, dealers havent met their quotas, last day of the month, etc etc etc. Ill give it a shot..

That' only about $600 over invoice or about a 2% markup. 3% over invoice is the best we have seen so far.

One dealer here offer me a TL-S for $250 over invoice. That was as I walked in the door and sat in the car. I told him I wasnt in the mood to deal and to go away. Another lady came up and offered me the same. I told her I would consider it when the time came. My wife and I left the place with the overall impression that they were willing to deal and they need to push these cars out the door. When I go in for the deal , I am shooting for invoice.

31,000 with destination is possible....My deal on april 21, 2001 was for 31,200 with dest. wheel locks, mud flaps, and trunk tray....deal should not be a problem on the 30th....just my .02

Just don't look impressed with the overall package..I know it's hard
