Engine start button, anyone tried them?

Well winter break is coming so finally time for some new mod.

Engine Start button!!! Does anyone mod them on our TL?

here's the link for the kit. http://www.intakeone.com/Pivot/Piv_SR1.html

Does anyone have the diagram and can kindly teach me how to do this? I'm an idiot when it comes to electric thing, all those color wires get me confused.

thanks in advance guys, any feedback would be appreciate.

Not looking for an argument but this has to be the dumbest thing ever. What purpose would it serve? You would still need to put the key in the ignition and turn it to "on" before pressing the start button, no? Why not just twist the key another 30 degrees or so and start the engine in one motion? Who needs an extra step?

Quotes from the mfr web site:

"Nothing is cooler than a push button engine starter."
Really? Why?

"It strongly requires professional installation and dyno tuning for best result !"
Dyno tuning for a start button? WTF?

Having said that, I can't imagine it would be all that difficult to install if one really wanted to.

The advantage, if it can be called that, of cars that come standard with a push button start is that the 'car' recognizes the key fob you must have with you, enables the start button and unlocks the steering wheel, etc. IOW, no need to put the key in the ignition switch.

This thing would be a pain in the butt.

Yeah, that's the way to go. The push button start really would be more of a pain in than anything...IMO. You may be able to start the car without turning the key but you would have to put the key in before you drove off. You would also have to have a key in the car when you started it so that it would pick up the chip inside the key. Not worth it IMO, just go with remote start. I know it's more expensive but it's the best way to go about it.
