Engine Pulse

I was wondering if it is normal to feel a slight engine pulse from your steering wheel when the car is brand new? It's very slight but I can feel the normal engine pulse from the belt. I think I'm just over sensitive since it's a new car I just wanted to check with you. I know I felt this with my Camry when it was new. I just thought since the TL is sort of a luxury car it shouldn't have this. I guess not. I know you can't feel squat with a new BMW, Mercedes or Volvo. Then again I suppose that's a whole different breed of car.

At idle, the TL-S is definitely rougher than some other Japanese makes. This car idles rougher than my '97 Maxima SE so it was unsettling when I first got the car. I'm so used to it now I don't even notice. It's subtle but it's definitely there. Go sit in a V-8 Camaro for a while and then you won't even notice....

Thanks for the reply. Glad to know this is normal although I am a bit suprised. It's hardly noticeable especially if you have the stereo on. I guess I just kept comparing it to quietness Mercedes, BMW, and Volvo. Whatever, I still love the car. I'm sure I won't notice it in a month or so either. Like you said though a bit unsettling at first.

The TLs have a vacuum/ electronic controlled front motor mount
When the engine is warm, you should barely know it's idling. This function is easily checked. Dealer will do it.
