Engine noise

Hey,

I just noticed a really weird thing with my TL-S. After I start it up and start going the engine makes a weird growling (for lack of a better word) noise once or twice then drives fine. It doesn't feel any different but the noise is worrisome just the same since it wasn't there before. Anyone have any suggestion?

Thanks!

It probably was there but you may not have noticed it. If it happens after initial startup and first movement its the abs pump self test. Its normal and nothing to worry about.

Hi there TL-SNewbie,

Thats a very good question! what year is your TL TypeS and is the noise/sound comming through into your cab? is it like a low hum/buzz sound?

Well I own a 2002 TL TypeS and I also had a weard sound, when I start the car with the AC and Radio all of I am able to hear this very very fight hum/buzzing sound in side the can when you try to look under the hood it does not seem to be comming from that area that what I noticed but back inside the cab with all the doors closed and windows all shut I am able to hear this weard sound that I never have heard before.

Please go to my link regarding this problem below.

Good luck and I hope this info can give you a little help.
