Engine cover

After the meet on June 1st, I loved how BlackShadow's engine cover was painted blue. I decided to go with red to match the wires from the intake. They match perfectly in person, the pics make them look a little orange. Let me know what you think, I hope these links work.

It came out pretty good. Can't wait to see it in person at the next meet.

BTW, I am assuming you are talking about my painted engine cover.

haha, yeah, I thought that I typed your screenname there but I guess it was all in my head. It's been a long week at work! I'm not totally done with it yet, still have a few more clear coats to get the shine.

the bolts aren't actually painted, I have tape over them that have the red paint on them and the cover isn't bolted on yet. I still have to get a few more coats of clear primer to get the glossy look.

I put the screws in with tape because I didn't want to get paint in the holes. I know it wouldn't have done anything but wasn't sure if getting paint in the screw holes would effect anything.
str8acura, do you have a pic of your cover? What color did you paint yours?

I am going to paint the bottom cover along with the 3 smaller pieces SSM. I was thinking red but I think that might be too much.
