Post Engine Cover

I don't know if any words were said about the difference in engine covers, but I have noticed that the 99 TL's have a different cover over the intake manifold. Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems as thought the intake manifold is a little different also.

The 99's look like the intake manifold has these pipes outlined, while the 00'+ have a cover without any pipe outline. I hope you guys know what I am talking about.

Another point I wanted to make is that the V6 Accords have the same looking engine cover as the 99's.

Yeah I noticed that a meet. We have that silver insert and not a solid black cover. Looks pretty cool IMO. Plus our cover does not extend over the throttle body and air intake, so the AEM CAI will fit better.

'99's have a cooler silver engine cover than 2000 and up. Like Dragon said - ours has the manifold outlined. I'll post a pic later for those of you that haven't seen the 99 engine.

99 does look cooler, but the 00-02 in fact have a revised intake manifold. While delivering the same power, torque develops at lower RPM than before, resulting in improved drivability and acceleration.

That, plus the extra gear (5-speed vs 4 for the 99), make the newer models a little quicker. Shame it doesn't look as nice, though...

It's all good about the looks, because I wouldn't want my engine to look like an Accord's engine (no fighting words intended ). Yea, there is a revised intake manifold. Good thing I got a 00' with the 5spd tranny.
