Post Engine Check Light

Hi Guys , I get this light on , on my TL , I wonder if this is just a regular maintance schedule light , or if it's really really a warning about the engine ? Thanks.

Man... Good luck with your car.

My light went on 7 times for the past 6 month. I don't know how old your car is. But I think mostly likely that it's a miss fire.

However, you might also have some problem with the whole computer and all that. So, you will have trouble start during cold weather.

Take the car back to the dealer, and see what they say about it. If it's the first time that you have that light on. They will just reset it anywayz. I have my light on all da time know, because I really don't give a F about it. It's gonna pop back on again after I reset it. But that's my TL, I think I got a lemon...

If it's the "MAINT REQ'D" lamp then it's nothing major... that's no more than a reminder that you're at (or almost at) the mileage for your next service interval. Follow the directions in your owner's manual to reset it.

If it is indeed the "CHECK ENGINE" light, take it back to the dealer and have them correct the problem.
