Engine Bay Cleaning!! Before and After!!

It's amazing what a little Simple Green (eco-friendly) and tire foam can do!!

missed a couple of spots, but looks way better than before. i use the GUNK stuff and finish my bay up with CD2 engine detailer and when all done i cant stop looking at my engine bay.

missed spots!!

r u talking about on top of the intake manifold?! there is a stain on there?! can't get it off...i'm thinkin about powder coating it anyways!

Look alot better
Did you have to cover up anything or did you just spray down the engine bay?

i always cover up the alternator and battery.

For whatever reason after my car being driven 8 years through the Colorado winter and summer the engine back still looks damn clean, I have no idea why...

i sprayed everything down with simple green and then used a lower power pressure washer....then sprayed everything down tire foam

Nice and clean now!
But be careful. I heard that simple green can cause premature wear on your belts. Not sure if its 100% true but I wouldn't risk it.

Yeah I have herd this too. Wouldnt trust it one bit! Nice and clean though

Looks much better. After each wash you should open the hood and wipe everthing down so you will only have to do a major cleaning once a year. Nice work.

i do that and I still have never had to do a major cleaning. the OP's engine bay actually suprised me how dirty it was, i didn't think that was possible compared to mine. I never do any cleanings though, just "dustings".

maybe i'm lucky?
