Unhappy Endless Brake problems

Lets see where to start, well I ve been driving the car for a couple of months now and all I ve seen to be getting is brake problems, first it was spongy brakes so I had the brake system bled <-- expensive. Then the marshmallow brakes came back again so I had the Master Brake cylinder changed <--expensive also and after a week of nice solid hard brakes now its slowly getting softer so I went back to the guy who bled my brake system and also replaced my brake cylinder and he said maybe its your ABS(or BSC) Modulator <--- now this one is going to cost 1000 bux.....and he said its maybe and most likely that since no fluid is leaking. I spent 85bux on bleeding and 250 on the Master Brake Cylinder change and now this? Anyone had or is having the same problems? Its like endless

Try changing your pads. They will give a spongy feel also

I think a lot of people have put stainless steel brake lines on to give a firmer feel to the pedal, but that's not what is causing your problem I don't think. I would definitely do pads before I did any ABS stuff.

But the thing was after the Master Cylinder was changed it when you pressed the brakes just alittle bit, it was braking already as compared to now, I would have to press the brakes more in because it has begun to softten in more to stop the car, I dont believe there is air going in because there is no spongy air pumping but the feeling is that the brake pedals are soft as I would have to press it down and thats naturally too no force too just to get the car to slow down. Even the dude who fixed my car said hes not 100 percent sure if its the BSC(ABS) Modulator, so if hes not sure heck I must be lost for good and thanx for the help and tips so far

That also works cause the rubber hoses expand with the pressure thus reducing braking power.

it's not the pads, not the cylinder, not the ABS

TL has a rather small cylinder compare with TSX, therefore the pump is not as powerful since the output is smaller, causing the soft pedal feel

chainging to SS lines will help, but still won't solve the problem

There's a problem some where in the system if he is able to have the firm pedal feel and it slowly goes away. Something has to be causing it, although i do agree with you...a BBK will solve all the problems.

For a second there, I thought you were having "Endless" brake problems...as in Endless brakes.

Since you have endless stock brake problems, maybe you have an endlessly problematic mechanic. He's changing part after part, pretty soon you'll have an entirely new brake system.

Why not try going to a different mechanic, as this one does not seem to be helping?

Well he did mention one thing though, he said that if after I press the brakes and then reapply the brakes again for a second press it firms back up to almost the way its suppose to feel, which is odd and he asked me that before hand " how does it feel when you press the brake right after the initial braking?" and he is some what right because I just tried that while I was driving back from class before... and for all the help again dudes hehe and yeah probably go see another mechanic, Jee I wonder whats next *sigh*.
