end of the 99

well.
what would you guys do?

I have a 99 and the transmission is dying. its not cool to drive anymore. the car has 230k on it.
its in great shape. has a bunch of new suspension parts/tires/brakes.

it has a bodykit, APexi WS II catback, headers.
the thing runs great.

I talked to the wife..she doesnt want to fix it....it's gonna cost like 2500 to 3000 $ to fix.

So it's sitting in my driveway.

i have a new car(2009 G8 GT), so i was hoping to keep the Acura for awhile and use it as a second/winter car.

should i call kars for kids?

Joe, what color is your car? I might be interested in buying some parts before you donate it. I'm local.

Didn't I sell you something? I thought I did.

How much for the strut bar? Neuspeed? Black or chrome?

with these guys. If it's just going to be a commuter car, why not just get the transmission rebuilt somewhere such as Aamco? They give you a decent warranty for a decent price. Unless you'd rather have another car payment.

sometimes The Wife decides the old car wont fit in the parking space with the new car she has fallen in love with

I would strip all the good parts off it,,you have an extensive list with exhaust and all
Make an ad in our private sales area for them

or put the whole car up there, maybe a ziner can take it for a decent price,,more than the tax write-off and keep it motoring on

a junkyard will take the carcass away as long as you have title papers

There are used trannys at salvage yards. Check around. They may or may not be real reliable but should cost much less. I had the Tranny replaced in an Accord for 1100 once. Included installation tax etc.
