hi guys:
i am in Vancouver BC. i have a 2001 tlp, lowered with no body kit.
to make things short, today afternoon i got into an accident. a lady failed to yeild to make a left turn. i avoided crashed into her car and ended up on a curb hitting down few bushes (big rocks were right below the bushes). since the rocks are like more than 1 foot in diameter and there were many many of them, my whole car basically slide over many rocks and stuck in the rocks.
by the way, i am okay.
now that i have called insurance and they are asking me to bring the car to a body shop for estimate (insurance is going to cover the repair cost, so i want to make sure they will change all the necessary parts). i want to ask you guy the below questions. please help me if u know the answer. this is URGENT. thx in ahead.
1). what are the parts that sitting low in our car? ( other than the exhaust)
2). my bumper is damaged and cracked, so they need to replace it?
3). will i get any suspension problem? (i basically climbed up a 6 inches curb at speed around 70km/h)
4). what other damages would u think there is for the accident?
THX VERY MUCH FOR YOUR ANSWER.

1) Umm, there are many things sitting on the lower side of the car. Oil pan, exhaust pipe, suspension, etc, etc. It really depends on where you hit, and how far you went over the rocks. The body shop will be able to tell you, once they put the car up on a lift.
2) Yep, if it's cracked, it'll need a replacement.
3) Like I said in 1) the body shop will be able to tell you. Usually, the suspension is pretty strong enough to absorb vertical movement, so if you drove over the rocks, it should be okay, sans any scratches. But if the suspension slid over the rocks, then it could've possibly bent something. Again, they will be able to tell you.
4) Body shop will tell you. That's what the estimate process is for. It's impossible for us to tell you what could be damaged, especially without any pictures. Let the body shop guys do what they do best.

Good luck.

Thank you for ur answer adrenaline. this morning i jacked up the car and had a close look. from what i see right now:
1. gas tank crashed (but no leak yet)
2. the protective plastics are all hanging, so i took the ones scratching the ground out.
3. front bumper crached at the position where the fog should go.
4. large scratch on the right side passenger door.
5. passenger side skirt moulding is little crached in.
6. the middle catalyis is crashed in little.
7. something next to the main frame is also bent.
any way, thx again for ur input. i will try to take some pictures when i bring the car to a body shop.

HOLY SHIT, I thought you meant you merely hit the rocks with the front of the car. I didn't know you went offroading!!
Sounds like the entire underside of the car has been damaged. Good luck, man. And if the frame is bent, push the insurance company total it.

yes, i did go offroad and hit down 5 or 6 trees and slide over many many big rocks.
i talked to insurance today and they ask me to tell them which shop to bring my car to. insurance said that the shop will do an estimate and report to them.
i am thinking to take the car into northshore acura (the place where i service my car), but from what i know, acura doesn't do body shop work.

i was going straight and the lady was opposite direction of me turning left. i almost hit her but i steer away and caused myself offroad. the lady is no damage at all other than the peace officer's ticket of "failing to yeild when turning left".
