electrical wiring question

I have an alarm in my car.

There are three wires connected to it.

But, one of them is not directly connected. The tip (copper part) is connected to the strut bar.

I'm guessing because the copper touches the metal strut bar, electricity flows through the entire body of the car? Won't that decrease performace? need answer~~
