so i was cleaning out my garage last night and i found my egt probe and gauge from my turbo integra, would there be any use for the gauge and probe to be installed? i know its kinda like a "cheapo wideband" but would i have any real practical use for it on my stock tl?

 

I have one of those laying around too- it would make an interesting addition to the dash and something else to watch!
Good info on throttle position versus actual egt could be an interesting experiment.
On the airplane we live by the egt guage- many have a sensor in each cylinder!!
and manually set the fuel ratio according to its reading- for example, peak temp minus 75 degrees F is max lean setting with safety margin

 

i think i just might install it, i knwo with my turbo integra it was way cheaper than a wideband, and kinda did the same thing. yeah like you said it would be one more thing to watch and with anyone on this forum, we like watching everything on our dash, go gearheads!
