It's time for me to check the valve clearances and do the EGR port clean.

I have this question:
What about the passages from the number six exhuast port through the EGR manifold and valve and up the lower section of the intake manifold?
Wouldn't these passages have the same carbon buildup issues as the upper manifold that we clean?
Am I Paraniod?

 

if it goes to the egr system-clean it with carb cleaner and a wire coat hanger or similar.
dont stop at just the openings--the entire thing must be done
so exhaust flows easily to its destination

remove egr valve and clean its opening and end of the path too
