Ron Bouchard's Acura of Auburn. I bought mine there. The Framingham store didn't have what I wanted, and I live in Auburn.

It is only about 30 mimutes up the Pike from Framingham. Get off the Auburn Rte 12 exit and go for like 1 mile and it is on the left.

Post Ebony interior w/ regular wood...just saw it

There were four new ones there. Two WDP (one regular one type-S), one silver type-S and one regular Anthracite (NOT as good as Laguna!!!)

Anyway, they had snow on them!!! But, the Anthracite one had ebony and regular wood trim. It came off the truck that way. So, you tell me what the heck is going on? I saw it, and there was still plastic all over the car. Not one of them has been sold yet. And, AND!!! There were 26, yes 26 regular 01s there for sale! Damn! They had every color too.

The regular wood comes with non-TL-Type is cars in both ebony and parchment. The black wood style is on the Type S with ebony interiors only.
Hope that helps!

Which dealership is that? I was in Framingham last week and they said their '02 will arrive two week later.

There are some dealerships like that in NY too. Guess it depends where you go....

All non-S ebony interiors have the regular colored wood. The ebony wood is for the Type S ebony interior only. I owned an Anthracite before I traded in it on for my Black on Black TLS and having driven in both cars I can say that the regular wood looks far better. I know there are quite a few in here that like the ebony wood, I have tried REALLY hard to like it (I don’t have a choice ;-) but it is f***ing ugly. I’m going to bet Acura will change this for the next model year or at least offer the option to do so.

God I hope so! I am waiting for that and the 6sp. A nice ebony black material would be nice (just like the keys on a piano)

I don't know if they will change the ebony wood. I used to hate it, but when I saw it in person it wasn't so bad, and now I love it. Everyone who has seen my car has had nothing but positive comments for the black trim. I think it is something that will grow in popularity.

Compared to my '00 TL, I think it looks better than the fake wood in it. The brown fake wood looks very fake and cheap. I saw the same fake wood that looked just as good in my dad's Mitsubishi Galant! The "bowling ball" trim doesn't look like you are trying to copy anything, so it doesn't look like a cheap ripoff.

I have to say I like the black, I was the parchment/wood combo in a Nighthawk Black TL-S...didn't like it nearly as well.

Same for me. All good comments (or none at all) about the Ebony fake trim. It looks more like part of the car than the other fake wood does. Now, if only the trim would come in a plain black finish..........

Cool

Everyone has their opinion on this -- mine is that I don't care too much for the trim, but it didn't stop me from ordering a Black/Ebony TL-S!!!

I had the regular wood trim in my '99 3.2TL and I too like the ebony wood trim better. It is much more subtle and DEFINITELY different from any other "woodish" style trims out there. A real eye catcher those who have seen it go W W !
