EBC Red Stuff

Does anyone else use EBC Red Stuff. I know that alot of people use the green stuff, but PepBoys mest up and gave me Red Stuff for the price of Green

As far as i know, those are race pads and will really give your rotors a work out.

I think those are more for racing - where the pads constantly run at extremely high temps.

I don't think they would be that good for every day driving. Besides, the green stuff pads have a higher coefficient of friction (grab more).

Wouldn't be suitable for everyday driving... unless your racing.

Stick with the Green Stuff

The Redstuff's are race pads. You will experience a drastic lost in braking performance when the pads are cold.

Yup. they will also be harder on the rotors

was it the Cerritos Store they did the same to me too. so far its been great with the reds on.

Agree. "Racing" pads are really only effective and efficient once they reach a certain (extremely high) temp --- which you will never reach during everyday driving. Reds aren't necessary and you'll prob experience less efficient braking than you would with appropriate 'road' pads. They'll probably be awful when cold. If it were me, I'd switch 'em.

red stuff just arent a good pad for street driving. they are a comp pad. they need heat to opperate at the maximum level, something that cant be done well with street driving

just look for a different pad
