Yes! A stock TL-S does dyno at more than 200 hp!

yup, that is a BONE STOCK run...
I had just turned 1500km's...I broke the car in very gently....much much moreso than my CL-S...I imagine I'll make more power with this car than I did with the CL-S with the same mods..
I never did a baseline in my CL so I don't know what it would have been stock...
it should be noted that the torque figure really is only about 185ft/lbs at around 3500RPMs...the first part where it is higher is only torque convertor lock up...

See there we go again with the break in....for first 100 miles I dove the TL-S hard not hard hard, but harder than what the manual recommends. After that it was a slow granny driving.....Would this be bad to my car? I'm worried. My friend frank with a CL-S said that these engines are ready to play with from the factory.....I gave him a look...I wasn't sure so I did a mix....

I love seeing how linear the torque/HP lines are on VTEC engines. Mmm-mmm!

What is the relationship between Dyno (~200hp) and listed hp 260?

What does it all mean?

I believe the 260 HP is at the crank and the dyno is measuring power at the wheels.

Interesting that you can actually see when the intake and VTEC hit.

WOW! Not Bad! I always thought the TLS/CLS were a tad under 200HP to the wheel in stock form.

Hey Astro, how come the TLS has a higher torque rating than CLS?

I think it would be great to have an area where we save these Dyno graphs. That way, as people do mods, we can get a collection of dynos going, so you can see what difference headers make, or an intake, or an intake plus headers, etc.

I know the readings will be different from car to car, but at least we would get a decent estimate of what to expect.
