Based on NSX4DR's dyno chart, good thing that they don't make conclusions based on a 0-49 time--looks like the stock TL will beat the nitrous one at any speed under 50 mph...

Tony

P.S.: Yes, I know nitrous doesn't really come into play at such low speeds; I was just having a little fun with the dyno chart readings!

that is a pretty bad dyno graph... See how smooth the original line was, that is a good dyno graph... all the peaks and valleys and dips and sh1t, that is not good. I would try to get some chip or computer work done and have the car tuned by someone who REALLY knows what they are doing. I had a very heavly moded mustang pushing 450 hp at the wheels, and with a custom tuned chip and custom fuel maps and all the good stuff, i had a dyno line as smooth as your tl original line, but that went to 445 hp....

Good start man, now it is time to get that tuned right

Don't take this the wrong way Sniper........

This is what I do for a living........and I'm not sure if you know exactly how OBD1, OBD2 or OBD2 enhanced works.

If you look in my signature you won't see a V-afc or a S-afc, do you know why? Because these things work very poorly on anything after 1995 vehicles. Our computers work around all of our modifications. For example, I've dynoed my car and then reset the ECU and got 7hp......just by resetting the computer.

I have access to a dyno at work, I've tried every filter known in the industry and that is why I've got a custom intake. I make more power with my Comptech exhaust and intake (that I made) than the same car(s) with exhaust and cold airs or other short rams.

On the subject of ECU upgrade, you can't get anything for our cars using Nitrous that will work short of DFI or Haltech......I don't want to rewire the whole engine and carry around a laptop in my car.

Check with Mike B. @ Comptech, they can't do anything with the ECUs due to the manufacturers of the E-prom boards. Honda/Acura changed manufacturers after 1995 when they went to OBD2.

I don't mean this to be mean but I want everyone to know why things happen......my graph could be jumpy due to various things....
1. Bottle pressure
2. Detonation
3. Fuel pressure variations
4. Computer adjusting timing ( it samples 30x per sec )

Mine was due to #1
I've checked the plugs and found no signs of detonation and had my car hooked up to a computer that reads timing and knock sensor readings.....everything A o.k.

Sorry for the long write up.....

who would give a $hit about dips and valleys when your $hit is that much above stock...damn, so tell me more about what you did to your intake and exhaust to get that extra power...Shyne

NSX4DR,

Do you have any dyno w/ mods but no nitrous?

Before & after the Mod w/o nitrous?

I want to get some idea how much HP would mods increase.

Thanks

i have not taken it the wrong way... I was unaware of what you do for a living, but that is no matter... If you are in the bussiness, then you should know that a smooth dyno curve accross all rpm bands is what you should be looking for. Since you already know what some of the causes for the peaks and dips are, and eliminated some, I was only suggesting getting some help to fix the other causes. My mustang was a 95, and computer tunning chips help my car tremendously... It was OBD2 also... so I am not sure... I am not a tuner, and I dont know enough about our cars computers to know what they are and are not capable of, I just know that the 3 tuners I worked with on my mustang all agreed that you want the curve as smooth as possible, and that was all I was saying to you...

I dont think bottle pressure should have anything to do with that. botttle pressure should be fairly linear, there for your graph should be linear.... I think you have other issues with you ride and the nos right now..

Glad you got the HP up on your ride...
