driving on bent rim bad?

i bent my front right rim awhile back, but i still drove with it since i couln'dt feel anything <50mph. above that, the steering wheel vibrates. between 50-80mph is where the steering vibrates a lot, but >80 the vibration settles a little bit.. i changed the rims, (well, going too...) just wondering if i hurt/ruin anything? did i cause anymore problems?? i drove about 500miles w/ it bent. i dont know the results yet, i'll see what happens when i put new rims on but just wondering if i did anything and made it worse..?

The tire will surely get uneven wear with the hops and skips, I would fix asap.

it's also hard on the drive training--sending vibrations through the entire system. Wears on bearings, bushings and other moving parts...
