Driver Side Wind Noise

Today I took about a 30 min drive at about a constant 55-60 mph and noticed that there was this slightly annoying wind noise comming from what sounded like the top of my driver side window. The first thing i did was open and close all windows, then open and close the door one i reached a red light and the noise was still there. I am just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem or if it is a common problem that the dealer has a easy fix for. Thanks

Nope it's not the windows, it's the dumbo-sized side mirrors. Happens to all the 2nd gen owners. although my 99 isn't as bad as our mirrors are curved a bit more in the front.

My side view mirrors don't seem to shake at all....When I do 110 - 120 they seem pretty stable. I must be lucky I guess.

Funny... For some reason I just noticed the noise in the last couple of weeks...

And it coincided with the installation of my OEM underbody kit...so I was blaming it on the kit... However, I think whenever you install something new, you always have an increased awareness... Fact is, the noise was probably always there...

i dont know, this might be a stupid idea on my part, but are you sure your window is making a tight seal when closed? check the rubber, if you very slightly crack a window when driving, does the same exact noise gets louder?

Got the same noise in my 00 TLp.

Got another noise in the front somewhere that's bothering me now. High humming sound when you are rolling fast. Don't know what to do about it.

I've had the same problem with my 02 . Took it to the dealer twice. After test driving it and comparing it to two other on their lot they said that there was no problem and like others have mentioned, its the mirrors.

well first you guys need to figure out where the noise is coming from.. is it the window? is it the door seals? is it the mirror? its hard for some one to fix something if you cant tell where is coming from. the only noise i get in my car is road noise and if its windy out (on the hwy) i get a slight air noise coming from what sounds to be the door seal. (which i highly doubt there is a fix for, atleast on mine since there isnt any thing wrong with it)

I can't speak for others, but I am not looking for any fix to my problem... I just wanted to confirm that I am hearing the same noise as everyone else... I am under the assumption that this is a consequence of the fundemental design of the car....

Maybe I am making a bad assumption...
