The driver side HID on my 99TL is dead. Where in Toronto can I get a replacement bulb. Don't want to go to the dealer, they'll charge two arms and two legs.

Make sure its a bulb failure by swapping the bulbs left to right, unless it was giving pink eye before and you knew it was headed for the dump

otherwise its order online, Phillips-get new ones only, or Kaixen are well liked
4300k is stock color 5000K a little whiter and blue - 6000k well liked white with blue tint

 

Thanks... It was turning purplish about a week ago. Last night it was on for a bit and then jsut went out. But if I turn to low beam it is ok. From low bream and then turn to high beam it comes on for about 10-20 seconds and goes out again.

Does this sound like the bulb?

 

When the bulb starts to turn colors it is an indication it doesn't have much life left but it would still be best to make sure it is the bulb by swapping the bulbs or checking for power from the ballast.
