dremeled fog area???

does any have their fog area dremeled out? kuz im planning on doing mine...but im scared...1 good reason is that itll just let the wind into that compartment rite where the filter is for the cai....but in doing so...wouldnt that put force on the plastic cover for the wheel weld...wouldnt that force just rip it off?? n what bout rocks...what if a few lil pebbles shot into that area...would they get the engine??

your airfilter should stop any "lil pebbles" from damaging your engine.

I dremeled out both corner foglight pockets and wrapped mesh around from the inside, and then used silicon to hold it there. It's holding up great and havn't encountered any problems.

it shouldnt be a problem if you put some mesh on it. Though if you drive alot in the rain, water will get all over the filter (shouldnt hurt anything) but you will have to re-oil the filter alot more often because the oil will drip off when the filter dries.

all CAI filters are the K&N type filter that have the reddish oil on them to help with the filtering. if you have that plastic off, the water will spray on the filter and make the oil run off. It will obviously be best if you put some mesh over the hole - that would block the larger rocks so you will be fine after that.
