The dreaded double-rubber

Changed my oil this weekend. Bought a jug (5qt) of Mobil 1 5-30 full synthetic at Walmart (under $20).

My last oil change was done by the dealer as a bribe for destroying a CD and getting black grease ALL over my tan leather seats.

Got under the car... noticed oil collecting at the bottom of the filter That shouldn't be.

Take off the filter and the filter ring from the previous filter falls out from between the filter and engine.

I guess they let chimps do the make good oil changes. How in the world could a human miss the filter ring stuck to the engine. You have to at least look at the engine to get a new filter on.
