Exclamation Door problem

So a few days ago, my rear driver's side door somehow doesn't open anymore from the outside. Only opens from the inside. Was going to get that fixed until yesterday. My idiot brother "attempts" to fix it for me. He then has the idea to flip the child proof switch on the side of the door thinking it was going to magically fix the problem. I swear i was going to stab him right there and then. Now the door doesn't open at all. Would a shop still be able to fix it??? How much would it cost?

yea, the door panel has to be pried off while the door is closed but it can be done (once the seat is removed) then there is access to the inner workings to open the door

Hahaha, I can't stop laughing. What's it like having the smartest brother in the world?

I wish I could help.

Damn that sucks. Only thing i can think of is what fsttyms1 said, ripping the door panel off and trying to open it that way.

I have this same problem on my car. Only opens from the inside. Sucks when I am delivering too, I have to reach in from the front door and pull the handle from the inside. I think the metal bar on the inside of the door fell out of where it goes. I tried pulling off the panel on the door and rooting around inside the door to see if I could fix it, but it is a tight squeeze in there.

I hate to thread jack, but my rear driver door is having a similar problem....It only unlocks some of the time, but not others.

Any ideas?

It could be a faulty latch. If you get the door panel off, you should be able to physically pull down on the rod that goes from the door handle to the latch and open the door.
The latch is pretty easy to replace, if it needs to be done.
