Door Panel Cover Peeling Off (PIC Inside)

Acuraziners:

The rear seat door panel leather covers on my '02 TL-S are peeling off. I showed it to a local repair shop and the guy said it happens due to heat and that he cannot do anything about it.

I am attaching the pics to help you understand the problem.

It looks real ugly.

Has anyone had any similar issues? How did you fix it?

Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

I super glued it! super glue and tape!

use the gel super glue, and tape it together for a day or so, it'll look clean.

Chris,

Thanks for the awesome DIY.

Does it mean that I have to remove the complete door interior in order to glue the perforation?

Thanks.

This happens to everyone with TL and CL, i remember someone over the CL forum did fix it with heavy duty glue. He included DIY step by step with pic. Basically he took the whole door panel out, bought heavy duty clip and glue from Home Depot. Glue the piece back together and use the heavy duty clip to hold it in place.
