hey guys quick question does anyone know how to test the door lock motor and also how to take it off ? my rear passenger works on and off and its getting annoying i cant even press the knob down its like stuck

Changing part number 11 will fix everything for sure. However, you may not need to change that much. That part is made up of 2 parts. One is the door actuator, and the other is the changing mechanism. Costs 90 bucks, but I got it for 25 on eBay. I only needed the actuator, so I can ship you the spare mechanism if that is the problem (Doubt it is the problem though).

First step to do is to take the door panel off and inspect it. Maybe it's just rusty? Clean it all up, and test it. If it only works "on and off" even after you take it out, then you need a new door actuator. That part is about 30 bucks.

 

The Acura TL service manual does a pretty good job of explaining how to do everything. If you don't have it, I can PM you a link.

I had the same problem. It is seized because it needs oil - Seafoam. I did both my rear doors and the problem was fixed for $10. I have a post about it on here.

 

Hey folks, can someone help ''on how to'' remove the door panel without scrapping it?? Pics or videos or somethin??
Gotta fix the door lock cause can't open the door anymore...
