Angry Door Dings

Man can you belive some people? I mean what the heck, you spend thousands of dollars on a new car and BLAM someone decides that they need to OPEN there door ALL the way to its breaking point just to be the first person to tag your car.

This gets me mad...

Any how.. where would I get some paint to repair the chips?

If you really want the ding to go away, get a professional to do it.
I went to www.dentpro.com and they did it in 15 minutes.
Cost me some bucks thou.

Cheers !!!

Sooner or later it happens. You can park far away and have a carriage roll into your ride, or it can happen because someone parks too close and OPPS accidentally nails you. Then there are those who have a sh!tbox, can't stand that you don't and decide to make your car look a little more like theirs.
The first one always hurts, but if you have your car for more than a year, odds are it WILL happen. And yes, it sucks...!

Oh Man, I got something to tell yall. My girlfriend decides she's gonna park my '03 TL-S and 2 minutes later she comes running to da front door and guess what. 1 big ass dent on the rear back door. Molding is still kinda bent. The F@cked up thing about it is that the car was only 1 week old.

The door skins are just way to easy to dent anyhow on this car. Dents will happen, except on my C5 being fiberglass, you have to hit it really hard and then a) nothing happens maybe except a paint scuff or b) it cracks in half

Anyhow, on many other "metal" cars, its not as easy as with the TLS I've noticed!? Just push your finger in the middle of the door, and see how thin the panel is and how it will move.

These days, one can find tons of "painless" dent repair. When I picked up my '03 TL-S (with only 5 miles on it) I noticed a small ding on the rear door--dealer called over a dentpro guy and popped it out. I think the bill was 72 bucks-paid by dealer.

If you have a lot of them, they'll charge a lot for the first, but the second and third, etc will be much cheaper. Best to "save up" the dings and just spend 200 bucks or something if it bothers you enough.

"Ding King" on TV

Anyone tried the "Ding King" or whatever it is called advertised on TV? Does it work in getting door dings out?

The price is around $30, I believe but if it does not work then it is money wasted...

I know this isn't about door dings but it has to do with the body. I have an '03 tl-s wdp. I was in the process of installing splash guards when I discovered the right rear fender piece was loose. The plastic plug which is holding it on isn't secured very well. Is there anyway I can fix it myself? I don't want to waste my time at the dealer right now!
Thanks in advance for any help!

So you think the best thing to do is to take it to the dealer? Should I wait to put the splash g's on?

if you are planing to get the OEM body kit on then my and other tler suggestion to you is not do that because the splash g. will damage the paint on your fander, but if you are not going to put a body kit on then go ahead put it on.
