I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this, I am new to forums. I have a 2000 acura tl 3.2 with a sound engine and newly rebuilt transmission. Unfortunately someone didnt put it in park when they exited the car, it rolled backwards into a tree, which destroyed the right quarter panel, trunk, and compromised the structural integrity of the vehicle itself, which effectively totaled it. Other than another acura, are there any honda models I could effectively swap to?

 

there are other cars that it could go to, but it would be difficult to find one that would be worth the work involved.

for example: you may find an Accord, but what are the chances that it will be in good condition, close by, and in need of a engine/transmission? probably rare; not to mention that most accords have a much better transmission in them already.

Why not sell it and use the money toward another car that you like which has a good engine/transmission and won't add further constraints to an already difficult situation?

It's definitely not going to waste, it's helping you get into another vehicle, and it will more than likely help someone else with a TL keep theirs going.
