Does the 1997 TL 2.5 have an Audi engine
Does the 1997 TL 2.5 have an Audi engine
Another dumb post from a new user. Does this Japanese car really have a German motor? How did that happen? What do you all think of that? Wasn't there a lot problems the last time these two groups linked up ( the older members of the group will understand that question )?
Thanks

Surely not for a US car.
Details please...
IIRC, Honda DID get the engine from a different company when it introduced the Vigor. I had read about it somewhere about 15 years ago, so I could be wrong, but it coming from Audi was what I remember as well.

Here's the best logic I can think of that stimulates that question: Not that it's good, it's just the best I can come up with.
Both Audi and Acura made 5-cylinder vehicles. Acura had the Vigor (whatever the dates were) and Audi had the 100 sedan. I know b/c my dad had one, and it was one of the first cars I drove.

^ Volvo S60, IIRC.
^^ Tha Audi 90 was also a 5-banger, I believe. My brother-in-law had one before he stepped up to the 4.2L V8 in the A6, then stepped down to the 4-banger in the Accord.
