Does your TL-S sound like this??

Hi, You guys probably know by now that I just have the new TL-S for a month now, me and my wife notice a little noise everytime we start the car...

It goes like this, we start the car, then as soon as the car moving (doesn't matter if it's in D or R) After it rolled about 3 feet, there would be a little "AAARRRRRRRRR" noise coming from the front... the other day I was backing up from our driveway. My foot was on the brake pedal and I could feel a little vibration when that noise came out.

It happens everytime we start the car and that noise is only about 1 second. This noise only came out once and within the first feet........

Does anybody have any idea at all?? I heard there's some cars does "breeding" the ABS or resetting computer everytime before / after the car started up/ shut down...

Is that the case then??

That is a normal thing. Its the ABS/VSA initilizing. No biggie. Sounds like a motorized type noise.

Thanks Man, so my wife won't bug me everyday for the noise.

Yes, I'm too lazy to ask the service guys, but I'll be there tomorrow and lets see how they will explain to wife about it.

completely normal. I think it's outlined in the owners manual.

Actually, I think it happens twice. Once around 5mph and the second time around 15-20 mph. I'm sure the gang will correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah it should do it twice. I believe the first time is immediately when you first start moving, the 2nd time is when you hit around 15mph.

And it would be "bleeding" of the ABS system not "breeding" ... If it were breeding you might have a lot more noises!

What it actually is doing is testing the ABS system to make sure that it works properly. If for some reason it doesn't, it will alert you to take the car in for maintenance. Simple safety feature so you don't assume you have ABS and suddenly find mid-slide that your ABS isn't doing what its supposed to.
