Does your 2G still turn heads?

I get people commenting all the time. Was on vacation last week and a dude stopped me at the gas station and couldn't believe my FPR paint is factory - "Who does your paint?"
A member commented yesterday that it looks "wet and juicy."
And I always give it the "over the shoulder" look as I'm walking in a store, work, home, etc.

That's the first TL in 20s I've seen that doesn't look like .
How do you drive though? Doesn't it scrape on every little dip or bump?

i put it in park and press the gas pedal......lol....but i had my rear fenders rolled flat, 20x7.5 +42 offset with 225/35/20...it rubs when i hit a HUGE dip but only on the bumper tab which is starting to wear off...

yeah, I have two civics a 2004 si hatch with the K20A3, and some goodies :-) I'm currently making it lighter and track specializing it since I have the TL dd and the '05 S6 Wagon (6speed FTW).
but my current extreme project has my pants in all sorts of bunches is an '88 si with the D16, which i'm currently sourcing a D17A2 from an 04 candian si. Can't wait to get the engine polished, boosted and opened up (via CAI and lighter components)
is my family mad that I blow money on a 20 year old automobile? for sure. do i care?? not in the least f saving for retirement, I spend my lawyer monies on NOW!
I live in upstate NY, are you going to bring the mini's back to the US? I've always loved the mini and one with a honda engine can only be better than the little 600cc they used to put in it

Three Wheelin'

Here was our Idea of why we should buy new wheels. Why spend $500-800 on tires when we can just sell our old Rims/tire for $1K+. ( 99-04 tires price back in days)
Then the money we save up for new tires an the money we sold our old rims for would go toward NEW Set Wheels for about $1500+
That how we always had New Wheel every year

Being stock and living in this rich town, I gotta say NO...
I see quite a few 2g TL-Ps and a couple of TL-S's in town almost all driven by older women...I talked with a woman that was pumping gas in her TL-S and asked her how she liked the car, she said she loved it, I then asked if she used the sport-shift and she looked at me quizically and said "what's that?"
My 20 year old MR2 gets way more looks than the TL-S in this town.

Was parked next to an Aston Martin DB9 at the train station today, the other day a ferarri 430 was a couple of cars away (park a Ferarri at the train station?)
Maybe its time to buy the springs and 19" wheels

Nah, they're wondering why I pass them and take corners like I do.

I was on my way home from western Mass. yesterday, and stopped at the eastbound Ludlow plaza, and what do I see parked right at the end of the row but another Firepepper Red 2G TL, with New York plates, with an empty parking spot right next to it.
I pulled in next to it, but forgot to take a photo. The owner was just coming back to his car as I arrived, so I smiled and gave the obligatory "nice car!" before heading in to get my burger and fries.
And then, as I was driving down the Pike at the big 89 merge, I spotted a Firepepper Red TL in the other lane, and thought it was the guy from the plaza, but this one had Massachusetts plates, not New York, so it was a third one.
And about two weeks ago, there was a 2G Firepepper Red TL in the parking lot of the Bedford, NH Outback Steakhouse, but unfortunately there wasn't an empty parking spot near it. This one had the black interior, rather than parchment, and no nav.

considering some of our cars are almost ten years old, does your TL turn heads still? i was taking my car in for service and a guy in his thirties, in a 2009 TSX loaner, flags me down on the off ramp and tells me that my TL (2002 TL-S)was the nicest TL that he's seen around.
has anyone gotten comments like this? most of the time, everyone asks about my paint and if its custom. i say nope, its all stock
so what do people say about your 2G?

occasionally civics and integras will whiz by with a bunch of kids looking back at teh car.
Around here,a 2g TL with just a OEM lipkit is a very rare sight. Makes me wonder why don't more people drive these cars.

Looking at these photos it makes me realize I really need to get a tint job. Just need to find someone who'll do the front windows... although maybe I can use my wife's vision condition to get a doctor's waiver and be legal about it.

totally stock on the 03' TL with 56K on the odometer. i keep it garaged totally waxed and washed all the time. i don't turn heads but i know i'm a step ahed of the rest since everything is detailed with every wash. all my cars are kept that way. just clay bared it last week and omg the difference. i'm trying to keep the paint protected especially down here in swfl from the sun. the family beater (i will not mention what it is) has already been destroyed by the sun. no point in waxing that car anymore. i'm removing paint with every wax job.
there's nothing like a fully detailed car.
