I a going to buy a 02 tl tomorrow( not from dealer)....does the warranty carry over? It has 35k miles. Also if tranny goes out is the repalcement free?

Every Acura is covered by a 4yr./50k warranty. Extended warranty covers you for 100k..and yes, if your tranny does fail..you should be covered. The only catch is that most dealerships won't do the tranny swap until your tranny actually fails.

So i can buy a used tl from private party and teh warranty will transfer over til 50k/4yrs? Also can I go to acura and buy an extended warranty now? thanks

I believe the 4yr./50k warranty is standard and yes, it should transfer over. And yes, you can go to Acura and purchase the extended warranty..also while your at a Dealer, run the VIN# of the '02 TL you plan on purchasing and find out if it has had all its required maintenace done. Good luck!
