Question Does the TL use Shocks or Struts?

When I talked to a dealer, they always said struts, but when I look online for the parts, all I keep getting are the KYB GR-2 Shock Absorbers. There is a diff. between shocks and struts I know, and I just wanted to get info on what the TL has and why these shocks are listed for the TL with Auto Parts Stores online.

-oh, and if i end up having to use Acura OEM, does anyone know where I could get them less than at the price they are quoting me at the dealer?-

Your car has struts. Click the "Suspension" link at the top of this page for a wide selection of springs and struts that will fit your car.

i think the terms are interchangeable for most people, but not really per their definitions. i believe our cars have both...struts in front and shocks in the rear. i think this is the main difference...struts are on the turning wheels, shocks are on the fixed wheels.

Struts incorporate the spring as one unit and (most) shocks can either have a coil-over design or be completely seperate from each other.
