does this strike any1 else as odd?

ok..driving home from LOEWS cinemas on route 1 (new jersey) i stop at the red light right in front of pep boys(the light right after the edison diner) and a lincoln LS pulls up to me..i have 3 ppl in the car and same with him. he gives me the little stupid smirk like wtf am i thinking....so i decide to give it a shot..so i do that power brake torque brake wutever its called @ 2000rpms maybe a lil lower and we take off(TCS is on...i forgot to take it off) were both gunning it and i am staying dead even with this LS...60 85...at about 85 he starts pulling, we raced up to 120 and he was 1 car ahead of me...now this is the part that strikes me as odd...i flash my brights at him to tell him to slow down..so we drive slow so the next light turns red and i ask him "is that the 8 or the 6?"..he says "its an 8"....now is it me or am i going insane...an 8 cylinder lincoln LS beats me by just a carlength? he was gunning the **** out of it he admitted that...then he goes "wuts that?" and i go "its a 6" and hes like "wtf i ussually pull alot more then 1 car on 6's" all i said was "yea..but this is an acura" light turned green and i drove away PROUDLY..this was one race i wasnt ashamed of "losing"

The LS is a heavy car though.

the ls 6 and 8 are very slow cars. either way, good kill. if you would have taken ur tcs off... u might have been dead even or beaten him.

Don't worry, it is not odd.

The V8 LS does 0-60 in like 7 secs. Pretty pathetic if you ask me for a V8.

If you have any engine mods, you would've probably been even or beat him.

I'm thinking it sounds pretty normal that you only lost by one car length. Even though the Lincoln was a V8, it only puts out 280 hp. With all your engine mods and the 250+ pound weight savings, you guys should be somewhat even. I'm assuming you have a TL-P and not a Type S.
