Does this sound right???????

Purchased my 03 TL / S in Oct 04. I also purchased an extented warranty at the same time. The trans recall went out in July 04. Acura dealer never said anything about the acura extended warranty for the tranny. So I was sold a warranty for something that was already covered. Feeling ripped off. Thinking of what to do.. Any Thoughts

You should have your service department check your VIN...

I have an '03, and everyone assumes that it is covered under the 100K transmission warranty program... They checked my VIN and found that it was not...

Apparently not all '03s are covered under the program... I have the extended warranty and feel much more comfortable that I have it...

Well... you didn't buy it for nothing... It still extends all the other components of the car that is normally on the 4/48K...

those extended warranties are pro-rated and if u want u can cancel the remainder of the warranty and they will credit the balance owed on your car. personally id keep it with all the various problems you may run into id like to know its all fixed free

The extended warranty is covered for a range of VIN#'s. Thats how it's determined, not by the year of the car.

Talked to Acura Customer Service yesterday. They suggested I confront the dealership and get a refund for the warranty. I want the warranty on the rest of the powertrain just not the transmission.
