Hey guys,

I just knowticed a post with pics of the shifter with it illuminated. Mine is a 2000 tl, does not illuminate. If it does, how do i replace the bulbs, and what bulbs woud it take, and where to get them?

thanks,

I'm not sure about the number, I bought the shift gate kit a while back with the blue LED.

I think on Crutchfield.com they have a bulb guide.

You can fit a #74 bulb in there. It's simple to replace and you don't even have to remove the shift knob. Just pull up the plastic trim surrounding the shift gate, the gently pry up the silver cover from both sides. The shift indicator can be pried up with a flathead, it takes a small amount of force since it is glued/stuck down. Shouldn't take more than about 5 minutes to do.
