Does Anyone Have DC Headers?

I'm looking for pictures of the DC Headers installed onto their TL-S or TL-P.
If i remember correctly, they only make ceramic headers so im curious as to how they look installed onto the car. I bought XS headers (which are polished), and im considering buying the DC ones just to be carb legal, but im not ready to shell out 400 just yet. and neither do i have the money to shell out for CT headers

I hope some of you guys have some nice pictures i can see.

thanks!

I pulled a set of DCs of a members car. They had cracked and always had resonance. He had his XS ceramic coated and hasnt been happier. The XS are the only ones that fit the 6speed, other than the set Comptech makes for it. Oh and are you sure the DC is carb legal?

Hmm, I thought they were carb legal already. Shit! So any of you guys know anything about Fabrication. Kris, maybe you can chime in. I'm thinking about welding two (or i think three) L Shaped Pieces of steel into the place where the stock heat shield used to be. I want to bolt on the stock heat shield so that they cant tell whether my headers have been modded or not. sound like a good plan or no?

uh... go fab an exhaust but not the headers. if designed poorly. you'll probably loose power.

smoother the air flow and equally exited the better for the headers.
i'd just go with the XS power. if you're so worried about CARB. go fork up some cash for the Comptech. there's one on the black market right now. i think fo $670~ ish. or was it $700~.

I dont plan to fabricate the whole headers. I just plan to fabricate/weld on something to bolt the stock heat shield on to the headers. keep in mind, i DO have XS headers already, and currently they're on my car. I had to swap my stock headers out to complete the 6MT swap. stock headers dont fit on the MT. Kris, Do you think its possible to weld an L shaped or a T Shaped Piece of steel in front of the header? I was thinking it would be possible to weld on the metal part, but not on the header itself because i don't wanna screw up the headers. Anyone got any ideas? I dont even have to use the stock heat shield. I could also dabricate my own, but i'm just wondering if it's a wise idea. lemme know guys!

The DC's cracked at the flange.

As for welding something on, i wouldnt. If i did any thing i would fabricate a flange to attach to the manifold bolt to bolt it to temporarily

On and the Stock exhaust manifold works with the 6 speed mount, just not other headers.

..and where the o2 sensor went. The XS headers that I had coated by HPC are holding up great and looking brand new, even after the brutal winter we had up here in WI and all the salt on the road. Still no resonance.

When i'm not in the market for headers, nobody has resonance on the XS, but when I am I see more complaining about it. lol

im actually not too worried about resonance. im more worried about them not being carb legal. i live in california. and in san jose, the cops have a hard time letting modders go because alot of them cause a lot of trouble in the community... especially the weekends... the days im home the most..

DC header should be fine with cop in CA, at least in So Cal. It looks like stock enough that cop did not notice it. I have on my car and got stop couple times and none of those time they notice I have aftermarket header when they look at my engine bay, or because they notice the CARB legal stick for Comptech air-intake and mistaken for it???
