does Acura have a body shop?
some A*S rear-ended me today. I was wondering if Acura even has a body shop.......if not, if anyone can suggest a good body shop in michigan? I've taken some of my other cars to autometric collision, they did a really good job. Any other suggestions?

Acura does not have an "Acura Bodyshop", however, all dealers have a body shop that they work with. Some may be part of the dealer, some down the road, and some just in the area and you go based on recommendations. You should contact your dealer to see who they work with... otherwise, you'll need to go to an independant shop of your choice. You should also check to see who takes your insurance....

sorry to hear about GODDAMIT. was it a hard hit?
i got mine rear ended too in the garage by this female student. Lucky it wasnt anything hard and her dad is a body shop owner. So i went down to him and he agreed to put on the OEM body kit in addition to the repair. because i didnt report it to the police and save the troubles for his daughter.

Yeah **** happens. Go to the bodyshop the dealer works with. I had a tree fall on mine while i was driving. 20,000 in damage and now that i got it back I like it more. The paint looks better and I still have not seen a weld mark. Pretty good for having the top cut off down to the door posts and new quarter panels and a new trunk lid put on. Good Luck.

My experience was a bit different. I had a small scrape I wanted taken care of, brought it to Park Avenue Acura, and they sent me down the road to their guy who takes care of such things.
His quote was 1200 bucks, while the next guy I took it to (some big place in Brooklyn) did it for $500.
Lesson: Comparison shop, my friend.

insurance paid for it. yeah it was pretty bad. Very lucky I guess. They said it was an act of god so my rates did not change. I felt like I was in a little echo with the headliner being so low.
