do the 02< accords come in ssm?...i was comparing our TL door handles with that of my sisters 98 accord and they seem to be exactly alike...im thining i could change the crhome to match the paint of my car..

 

Don't know about the other years for the 98-02 Accord but I know for a fact that 2002 Accord Models included SSM/Charcoal interior.

What is SSM?

 

SSM = Satin Silver Metalic ....the actual name of the silver TL color.

 

btw SSM rules Harder to tell if its clean or not.

 

I have SSM.

A few drawbacks I see now that I've had it for a month.

1) After waxing it doesn't quite give the mirror effect as do darker colors

2) It is probably the most popular color on the road in any car brand / model.

but I'm still happy about my color choice because it looks elegant, and you are correct it does stay cleaner.

 

Here in LA, white is probably the most popular, followed by silver and goldish.

My TL is black, i like the look of the chrome handles on that

i to find the chrome trim nice, it makes it look more classy/elegant/professional looking, thats the look i prefer as opposed to somethin more sporty or somethin

I know the '02 ex v6 does.

 

From the pictures, the door handles do not look the same. They may still work.

do they have the same shape so that they fit like stock?

 

They look like they have the same shape, BUT I can't tell if the "internals" are the same. So who cares if they fit in the hole, if they don't function.

 

NSXNEXT, where do you pull the drawing from? Seems like something you would find in a Service Manual. If so where can I get all the stuff for the 02 or 03 TL-S? Is it a PDF service manual? Or some website? I've seen people asking for a PDF version of the Service Manual before on this board but no ones prayers have been answered. Your picture is the first evidence of this type of information existing in electronic form. Please give us more info.

hmm....maybe i'll have to look agian...i cant see a differnece of shap between them...maybe i wont need all the internals..i could just get the handle itself...do you think they might have changed the door handles sometime during the 98-02 modle yr?

 

Can't just buy the handle. Have to buy the entire unit. And I can't figure out how you could take them apart. I wanted to have my door handles black chromed but gave up.

 

ehh...another idea down the drain
