Dodge Stealth vs TL-S...

It was cold and it was late. I was going home from my mother-in-laws when I was stopped @ a red next to a Dodge Stealth. The teens kept looking @ me, but I had no intention to race. My wife was next to me so I was trying to ignore, but then they yelled something at me and I didn't know what, but I said "ok let's do this!". It turned green and we both took off, neck and neck, then he switched gears and jumped ahead. I then switched to ss and downshifted to 3rd and took off my self. The kid was yelling something like "turbo baby, turbo!" when I was slowly passing all the way to a 127 then I started to slow down because I was approaching a red. I stopped then soon after they did. I just looked @ me and then started to rev and burned rubber and just made a right. My wife was scared, but she was laughing too.

I lost you from this point on. Did you win? Were you goin 127 MPH? Who looked at who and burned rubber?

I understand the wife part, women do not like races. I got yelled at yesterday when a Maxima tried to race me, I punched it but had to slow down because of the blood curling scream from my passenger seat. Next time, we are taking 2 cars.

I beat him.........

I beat him from about 95 on and just to rub it in I floored it
all the way to 127 then I slowed down and stopped a red. Soon the kids pulled up again and looked at me then just revved and instead of racing me again, they just took a right and while doing so they burned there rubber.

ahh! you let punk kids in a dodge beat you (to 95)? You should have had it in SS from the launch.

No matter

if I used SS or not he would have beat me off of the line because he has turbo and he probably had a clutch. To tell you the truth it suprised me that I beat him at all. They were young, probably didn't know how to drive.

Nice kill! Im assuming it was the twin-turbo version? I've always wondered how they size up. I'll still be looking for a personal experience .

Wouldnt the twin turbo version kick our ass? That should be equivalent to the mitsubishi 3000 twin turbo also.

If he had a Stealth turbo then he shoulda beaten you easily; I can think of two things:

1--he only had one of the two twin turbos working j/k, but who knows

2--like you said, they were "kids" (or "teens")--what did you expect from such inexperienced drivers like him?

Anyways, the guy knew he got embarrassed so he had to console himself by putting on the lame rubber show...
