I don't at all

 

my dealer said I use it too much (around 80% of the time) and that's why my car gets stuck in 2nd gear

 

That happened to me...what I do is put it in automatic mode and slow down to below the shift point for 2nd and it shifts to 3rd automatically......

Still no excuse for the prob but a quick solution if you're in traffic

that doesn't work at all... it happens pretty often to me

I have tried to move to drive, neutral, back to drive down to D3, basically everything and the only things that have worked to get me out of 2nd gear is:

1) in SS upshift/downshift/upshift/downshift about 20 times in 3 seconds and it breaks out and puts me in 4th gear.
2) when that doesn't work which is 25% of the time this happens, I pull over and turn the car off and back on

It sucks... Acura has replaced a lot including the transmission and it still does it. After complaining again about it again to them they told me it's because I use SS too often and it's not made for that.

Also. before I got the new transmission it would get stuck in 2nd gear in AUTOMATIC mode also. That hasn't happened with the new tranny yet though.

 

Since I'm driving my mom's TL-P while my Accord V6 is in the shop, Driving the TL-P has become a learning experience for me. Today I found out that your 2nd gear shifts at or a little after 60, while the crap AV6 4A shifts at around 73mph. I think I know what I want to save up for, a J32a1 tranny. I'll get the convience of automatic, while getting a little bit of the fun of an automatic.

It'll be interesting to do a corelation between increased use of SS and Transmission failures
