Ok...so my 1998 Acura Legend locked when ever I drove over 40 mph i believe...my wifes 2009 Accord locks as soon as the car starts rolling but my TL...does nothing!! I'm wondering is it something wrong with my car or we just not that cool??

 

Nothing wrong

None of the 2nd Gens do that

They will automatically lock the doors (within a certain amount of time) if you unlock them with the remote and never open the door.

I hate when car locks mine doors.
I can understand in family cars but ours...

 

my doors lock themselves after i start the car, and unlock when i turn it off. and also lock themselves if i unlock the car but don't open anything after about 15 seconds

 

My car locked me out with the key in the ignition the other day, first time it has ever done it and it hasn't done it sense.

 

It's cause of your aftermarket alarm system. Our cars doesn't do that from stock.

lol dude that sucks, everytime I have the keys in the car and i close the door, I always roll down the windows just a bit cause I dont trust it 100%.

 

^ happened to me once! Was super lucky, since i was like 2 hours from home.
BUT.... mine sunroof was a little bit opened (dunno how you called, when it's up), so i spent like 20 minutes trying to open door and totally did it

 

my lude locks as soon as the car is started... i HATE it...

 

any mods to the lude? I traded my 98 SH in for my TL, kinda miss that car but I had some little problems with that car that drove me nuts

same here...I don't trust these damn machines . Not to mention when I bought my car the dealer only gave me 1 key and i'm too lazy to go to acura and get another one programed.

easy to see one, just take off the acura badges, and put the honda badges on, and you got your self a honda legend

 

im interested in how mastini got his doors open through the tilt moonroof... trying to picture you on the roof sticking something through...

 

^^^ proably hit the door lock switch or something with a unbent coat hanger or something (the battery sounded to be fine, so the power locks proably still worked)

 

my 01 tl locks its self if i get out and dont lock it. and ill will go back out and it will be locked?

 

It's gotta be a setting somewhere, because my 05 used to lock itself then all of a sudden it didn't do it one night when I left a gas station and was sitting at a light and no lie some dude tried to car jack me, he just pulled my door right open and put a knife to my throat.

oh and im 95% sure my doors lock when i put the car in drive and unlock when i put it in park and i dont have an aftermarket system. unless the previous owner somehow rigged it that way while keeping the stock alarm system...
