Do OBX headers really make a difference?

I am looking to purchasing OBX headers for my 2003 TL-S and I want to know if you can really feel your car pulling harder than before and for the people with CAI's also does that make a big difference too??

OK, without any question the answer is yes. A Type-S will gain 28 horsepower or so and maybe six more with a cold air intake. Quarter mile times go from 14.8 or 14.9 to 14.3 or 14.4 or so. Crank horsepower will be nearly 295 to 300. Numerous dyno graphs have proven this. From 3000 rpm's on your car will pull like a freight train and will scream in VTEC mode like a V12. You will NOT be disappointed.

Headers...at the moment regardless of brand...is definitely a big help! A guy on the CL board (jimcol79) went from like 14.7 in the quarter mile to like 14.3...that of course is on the extreme cases, jus cause you get headers don't mean you'll be able to do that...but regardless, headers are worth it.

And BTW...sometimes the search button is good...but lots of time when you do a search, you tend to have to weed thru a ton of documents that may not have any useful info to you at the moment. Sometimes a person may need info quick...we should try to help them out when we can.

OBX header = $300 or less
Gain = 20-30 HP max. u won't see significant gain unless you are in the high end....at low end...you proably get 1-5 hp.

For $300 it's worth it. With OBX you get an resonance sound around 1900 RPM and 2900RPM...it's not loud or anything (resonance sound = blow across a beer bottle)...i kinda like it.

I have Injen CAI, OBX Header and CT Exhuast. Your car will sound slightly louder...but the loudest is the CAI.

I had problems with installation...the holes were too small and the shop had to bore them out a bit...maybea preproduction model i got (a couple ppl reported this).

The car REALLY pulls when u are flooring it. My tires are loosing their grip...so when the car shifts from 1-2 it will usually chrip and my VSA light would blink.

Where can I get OBX for "..$300 or less"?

I saw for $330.00 plus $35.00 shipping and thought that was good.

There were multi-group buys when they were released. Over at acura-cl.com and accordv6.com Check out acura - cl .com for sale forum...they were selling for cheap over there. Got mine for $300 1 month after release.

330 is a good price. getting it cheaper than that will be very hard. if you guys remember i had a post a while back, that i said i got them for $300 shipped. i sent payment but they never sent the headers. after 2 months, i ended up getting a refund and bought them elsewhere for $330 shipped. That guy sent them very quickly. If anyone wants them, pm me and i will give you the Screen Name of the guy who can hook it up for that price.

One size fits all for our TL's and TL-S's - also fits the Accord V6's. For the CL guys, they need a certain version on the rear header to clear the 6 speeds

I was just quoted 175-200 for the install. From what others have said on the message board, they do help gas mileage, but of course by how much depends on how you drive.

has anyone had to get the welds cleaned up on the OBX before the install? I read a post somewhere and I want to know if I should factor that into the price.
