Do I need a new battery?
car seems to be reluctant to start, went to local parts store and they checked the battery. Charger systems came ok, but battery voltage was 10.2V. The guy wanted to sell me a new battery but he was not very confident.
Want to take your opinion. do i really need a new battery? whats the average voltage from a healthy battery?
the current one i have is 650CCA, if that helps. But is 4+ years old.

acutally i googled it after asking here - https://www.google.com/search?q=volt...utf-8&oe=utf-8
Seems like it is 12.6 volts. so i am definitely under-powered...

yes you need a charge, or new battery. A good working battery should be at 12.4v min to 12.6v max.
note. when the car is running use dmm to test the battery. It should jump to 14.x volt. if not your alternator needs change.

You can install other group batteries in these cars as long as the terminals are in the same configuration, the size is close to the OEM group 24, and the CCAs are the same or higher.
I'm running a group 34 battery in mine without any issues with a 1" spacer underneath since this group is 1" shorter than the group 24. You can run the group 34 without a spacer if you don't care about slightly distorting the plastic battery box or don't have one anymore.
